The offer

The Personal Brand Edit

A focused personal brand strategy engagement for founders, VCs, and executives.

$950  |  90-minute deep-dive interview  |  Delivered within 5 business days

You've started putting yourself out there more.

Maybe you’re posting on LinkedIn. Telling more of your story. Sharing what you’re learning as you go. And maybe you’re finally starting to feel like you’re getting somewhere.

The question is how to keep it going, especially when you’re also running a company, a fund, or a team and don’t have someone sitting next to you every week helping you figure out what to say.

That’s where I come in.

The hard part usually isn’t finding more things to talk about. As a founder, you could talk about your company, your industry, your customers, what you’re learning, why you started the business, how you’re building it, and approximately 100 other things.

The same challenge comes up for venture partners and executives: plenty of credible things to talk about, but no clear answer to which ones should become part of their public reputation.

The harder question is: what do you actually want people to know you for?

That's what we'll figure out.

Who it's for

You're building something you care deeply about — a company, a fund, a team, a body of work.

And somewhere along the way, you’ve realized that doing that work well today also means people are paying attention to you.

Maybe you’ve already started posting. Maybe you’ve gotten more comfortable telling your story. Maybe you’ve seen what happens when something you say actually resonates with the right people.

But keeping that going on your own is a different story. You have approximately 700 other things to do, and without someone helping you step outside your own head, it’s easy to talk about whatever happened that week, fall back on generic company updates, overthink whether something is worth sharing… or stop showing up altogether.

You need a clear sense of what you want to be known for.

How it works

We're building on what's already there.

We’re not starting over. If you’ve worked on your story or positioning, had communications or PR support, developed messaging, or experimented with thought leadership, that work is the raw material. The Edit gives it a clearer direction.

For founders, this often becomes the foundation for a clearer founder brand strategy: what you want people to associate with your name, which stories reinforce it, and what deserves your attention next.

01

You answer a super-short questionnaire

I’ll get context on what you do, your goals, the work you’ve already done on your story or thought leadership, and what you want a stronger public reputation to help you accomplish.

If you’ve already written posts, developed messaging, gotten media coverage, worked with a PR team, or created something else relevant, send it my way.

02

We have a 90-minute conversation

I’ll interview you the way I would if I were writing a profile about you. We’ll talk about why you do what you do, what you’ve learned, the decisions you’ve made, the opinions you have, and where you want all of this to take you.

I’ll also want to know what’s felt good, what’s felt forced, what’s gotten a response, and what you absolutely do not want personal branding to turn into.

03

Give me five business days to think

I’m not going to finish our call and immediately dump the transcript into a template. I’ll go back through what you’ve created and everything I heard, look for patterns, and notice what’s more interesting than you realize.

Then I’ll turn all of that into your Personal Brand Edit.

What you'll get

Clear answers to eight questions.

01

What should you be known for?

Not everything you could talk about. The reputation I think is actually worth building around you.

02

What parts of your story matter most?

You’ve lived every chapter of it. I’ll tell you which parts deserve to be pulled forward.

03

Which ideas deserve your attention?

Of everything you could credibly speak to, the ideas, opinions, experiences, and stories that are already yours… and worth putting your name behind.

04

What's already working?

We’re not throwing away the public presence you’ve started. I’ll identify the pieces worth building on.

05

What's getting lost?

The interesting things you know, believe, or have experienced that aren’t showing up publicly yet.

06

Who actually needs to know you?

Customers? Investors? Candidates? Reporters? Partners? We’ll get clear on whose attention matters.

07

What should you stop worrying about?

You don’t need to cover every company update, chase every trend, or post every day.

08

What would I do next if I were you?

Not 50 things you could theoretically do. The few things I actually think are worth doing next.

For any leader, it can be incredibly challenging to find your voice. Alyssa makes it easy by doing her research and conducting a very targeted interview that she turns into dozens of organized themes, topics, and potential post ideas. I was blown away by the journalistic approach she takes, and the way she applies her diligence, empathy, research, and creativity to convert my musings into tangible insights that I can use and turn to any time I feel unsure where to go next.

Working with Alyssa, I went from 3,000 to 11,000 followers and directly drove a huge increase in job applicants and demo requests from my LinkedIn presence alone. As a CEO I knew that sharing my personal brand with the public could help the business, but I had no idea how much.

Alyssa has been instrumental in turbo charging my LinkedIn following. My audience and its engagement has grown significantly over a very short period of time since starting to work with her. I cannot recommend her more highly.

Leading Global VC Firm

Meet Alyssa

I'm Alyssa Greenfield, a personal brand strategist and ghostwriter for startup founders, venture capital investors, and executives.

Before I became a ghostwriter, I was a journalist. My instinct when I meet an interesting person is still to ask approximately 900 questions.

I work with startup founders, executives, and investors, interviewing them and figuring out which parts of what they tell me are actually worth building around.

I’ve helped founders turn their experience and ideas into thought leadership that has contributed to customer growth, hiring, press and speaking opportunities, and increased attention from investors. I’ve also worked with venture partners at some of the world’s leading firms to develop the ideas and stories they want associated with their names.

The work usually starts the same way: with a really good conversation.

I ask questions, follow the tangents, do the research, and listen for the things you’re too close to recognize as interesting.

Then I help make some decisions.

What’s genuinely distinctive about you? What do you know that’s worth sharing? Which parts of your story matter? What should people associate with your name?

You’ve already done the hard part: building the company, developing the expertise, having the experiences.

My job is to see what’s there and help you make something of it.

What happens after

I want this to be wildly useful. Even if we never work together again.

I’ll tell you what I think you should do next. And I mean that literally.

  • If you have everything you need to keep building on your own, I’ll tell you.
  • If you’d benefit from a PR expert, another specialist, or someone on your team owning part of it, I’ll tell you.
  • If there’s a larger body of work we should build together, I’ll explain what I’d recommend and why.

If you move forward with a larger project with me, the $950 you paid for your Personal Brand Edit will be applied toward that engagement.

The goal isn’t to sell you more work. It’s to make sure you know what you’re building toward before you spend more time or money building it.

Keep the momentum going
